Meet The Committee
Established almost 100 years ago, Southport Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc. is Queensland's longest serving chamber of commerce. It represents the interests of business people, their employees and dependent family member resident in Australia's sixth largest city.
The Southport Chamber works towards promoting the development and progress of commerce, trade and industry in Southport and its environs.

Rhonda has worked in the Southport area for the last 16 years with Kelly Services and holds the position of Regional Director. Her longevity within the Southport business community places her in a strong position to represent local business. |

Tracey has lived on the Gold Coast for the majority of her life, and has worked for many years in the Southport CBD. With over 20 years experience in corporate training, administration, database management, web design and maintenance, she runs her own business, Media Crush. |

Brian is a recent addition to the Burling Brown Directorial Team. Burling Brown Architects have been on the Gold Coast since 1972 providing educational, commercial, community and multi-unit residential architectural services. |

Jenny Crewes |
As Manager of Somerville Funerals, Jenny lives and works in Southport, and is committed to the ongoing business and social wellbeing of the area. Broadwater Southport Rotarian of the Year in 2009, Jenny supports a variety of local charities and strongly believes that local business needs to be involved in caring for the less advantaged in our society. A former director of finance with international hotels in Asia and Australia, Jenny’s “seachange” to the Gold Coast saw her take up her new vocation in 2006. An active member of the Events sub-committee, Jenny thoroughly enjoys her role with the Chamber. |

Colin has held a number of Directorships in New Zealand and Australia including not-for- profits as well as private and public organisations. Currently he is a Director on 3 boards, a Chapter President of the Institute of Management Consultants, a Fellow of both the Australian and NZ Institutes of Management and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. |

Alan Rickard operated automotive businesses from Southport from 1967 to 1988, then served as a Councillor in the Gold Coast City Council from 1988 to 2004. He intends to work to ensure Southport has a strong future and the existing Hospital site is retained for employment generating purposes. |
