Funding

The Chamber is a not for profit organisation funded primarily by dues paid by member businesses and proceeds of networking, social and promotional functions. It is not a government agency & receives no public monies.

Membership

Membership is open to all business people. Benefits of membership include networking opportunities, community involvement, image enhancement, political advocacy, information access and heightened credibility.

Affiliation

Southport Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc. Is affiliated with the state body which provides, on a fee for service basis, industrial relations advocacy, international letters patent etc.

Southport Chamber of Commerce is a business organsation that protects, fosters, and enhances the success of our membership through a focused, collaborative effort.

Organisation

The Chamber is an organization of business leaders who work to improve their community and the area’s business climate. A volunteer board of local business people govern the Chamber. The effectiveness of the Chamber is entirely reliant on member support and involvement.
