Check out the weekly programmes of activities planned in and around Southport.

Literally, step out and see what's happening on the streets of Southport at lunch time on week days from early November to the end of February. In addition to events and activities already scheduled at the Broadwater Parklands, Southport Community Centre and Southport Library, a host of free activities will be taking place on pavements throughout the streets of Southport.

Wander around and enjoy what Southport has to offer as you find big games of scrabble, snakes and ladders, bull's eye, chess and checkers, as well as fitness sessions, live music, street art and lunchtime encounters with guest speakers. Businesses will be asked to compete in friendly corporate challenges, such as fun runs. Stop and look or better still, join in, have some fun and liven up your lunch break.

In addition, an amateur photography competition will test the skills of photographers seeking hidden corners and unusual vantage points of Southport. The exhibition entries from all finalist and winners will be displayed at various locations around Southport in February. Click here for more details.
